Technical / Which Browser
« on: October 18, 2014, 04:34:55 PM »
Ok, after Mad's post where Chrome was the issue due to a memory leak what browser in best in your opinion?

I currently use Chrome as I like the way it works, but I have always thought it is a bit of a memory hog, even when it's not leaking.

I used to use Firefox, but got fed up of the constant updates breaking addons.

Technical / Download dropbox folders without dropbox
« on: July 28, 2014, 06:05:16 PM »
Anyone know of a standalone utility or even a plug-in for Chrome (or Firefox) that would download all folders and sub-folders and files from a shared dropbox? (The download button doesn't work as there are too many files and folders).

Anyone got a chromecast? I'm trying to work out if it can be made to stream anything playing on a tablet, not just supported streams before I decide to buy one.

Technical / DVD to MPEG
« on: April 20, 2014, 01:31:08 PM »
Hi All,

So I have several DVDs that I want to rip down to MPEG (preferably free as I am a serious tightwad) so I can take them with me on my Android tablet. As expected, a lot of these have protection. Does anyone know of a good piece of software for doing this? I am not looking to pirate off t'internet or anything, I just rip DVDs I already own.
